Refund Policy
A. SCOPE
- This Refund Policy (“the Policy”) will apply to all participants enrolled in any course of the Human Resource Development Academy (HRDA).
- This policy covers all courses, training programmes, workshops, seminars, and corporate events offered by HRDA, whether delivered in-person, virtually, or as hybrid sessions. This includes public scheduled classes, in-house corporate training, and team building programmes.
B. PAYMENT OF FEES
- Once enrolled on the course / programme, the participant is strictly bound to pay the agreed full fees.
C. REFUNDS
- No refunds shall be issued in the event of the participant’s cancellation of, or failure to complete the course for any reason whatsoever.
- Where a material fee or other fees related to the courses, which is separate from the tuition fees, is payable for a course, these fees are also not refundable.
D. HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (HRD CORP) CLAIMABLE COURSES
- Under this scheme, HRD Corp will pay the HRD Corp Claimable Courses’ course fee (subjected to 4% service fee from 1 April 2021) directly to HRDA / the training providers by deducting the amount from the registered employers’ levy account. It shall be the sole responsibility of the participant to verify whether the course qualifies as an HRD Corp claimable course and to ensure that the participant satisfies all applicable eligibility requirements in respect of such claim.
- For any claims or refunds in respect of HRD Corp Claimable Courses, the rules and regulations of HRD Corp shall apply.
- In the event of any withdrawal / cancellation by participant:
- Cancellation may affect the organisation’s grant application and future levy utilisation;
- Participants are advised to consult their HR department and review HRD Corp’s terms before cancelling; and
- HRDA is not responsible for any impact on HRD Corp claims due to participant cancellation.
E. SUBSTITUTION OF PARTICIPANTS
- If a registered participant is unable to attend the course, a replacement participant from the same organisation/company may be substituted at no additional cost, provided that:
- Written notification is given to HRDA at least 5 working days before the course date;
- The replacement participant’s details (full name, IC/passport number, email) are provided to HRDA; and
- For HRD Corp claimable programmes, the replacement must also be registered in the e-TRiS system.
- In the event of substitution for a registration by a company on behalf of its employee, the company shall be responsible for managing the necessary in respect of the company’s HRDC grant application and levy utilisation.
F. RESCHEDULING
- Participants may request to reschedule their attendance to a future session of the same programme selected, subject to availability.
- Rescheduling is only allowed once. The request to reschedule must be submitted to HRDA at least 14 working days before the course date. In the event the request to reschedule is made within 14 working days from the course date, a 10% administrative charge shall apply.
- In the event of rescheduling for a registration by a company on behalf of its employee, the company shall be responsible for managing the necessary in respect of the company’s HRDC grant application and levy utilisation.
G. CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT BY HRDA
- HRDA reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course / training due to:
- Insufficient enrolment (minimum participant threshold not met);
- Trainer unavailability due to unforeseen circumstances;
- Force majeure events (natural disasters, pandemics, government directives, etc.); or
- Venue or technical issues that cannot be resolved in time.
- In such cases, registered participants will be offered:
- Full refund of all fees paid, OR
- Rescheduling to the next available session at no additional cost.
H. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
- Information provided by participants is used for administration, management and support services, assessment and analysis which may be disclosed to HRDA and BAC Education Group (BACG)’s service providers and agents and partners (if applicable) for these purposes or if required to be disclosed to regulatory authorities, agencies or bodies.
- The processing of personal data shall be in accordance with BACG’s Privacy Policy and participants must take note of HRDA’s Privacy Policy Notice (https://www.hrdacademy.asia/privacy-policy/).
I. REVISION / AMENDMENT
- The Management has the sole, unfettered discretion to update, review or amend this Refund Policy at any time.
- Any such update, revision, amendment or change shall be published on the HRDA website. Participants are encouraged to frequently check and be informed of the updates, revisions, amendments or changes (if any).
- This Refund Policy and the application thereof together with any updates, revisions, additions, amendments and changes made thereto shall form an integral part of the Policy and shall be read together with any other terms and conditions, policies and all other relevant documentation of BACG and HRD Corp.
- Any queries in interpreting or applying this Policy should be directed in the first instance to the HRDA Training Consultant.
