HRD Corp Claimable Course

HRD Corp Claimable Course is a dedicated programme designed to assist employers in retraining and upskilling their employees in line with their operational and business requirements.

HRD Corp Support*:

  • Funding for in-house or public training for a minimum duration of seven (7) hours

Hire talent with digital-skill training and salary incentives

Incentives are available for companies that hire fresh graduates/ unemployed Malaysians/ retrenched employees for the following jobs:

  1. Digital Tech roles in any industry
  2. Digital Business Services roles in any industry.

The incentives include:

Salary Subsidy

  • 40% of Monthly salary for 6 months (maximum incentive is capped at 40% of RM6,500/month, i.e. RM2,600 per pax/month
  • Minimum salary requirement: RM2,000/month

Training subsidy for in-house or external/3rd party training:

  • In-house training (minimum 40 hours/pax) : up to RM5,000/pax
  • External training: up to RM8,000/pax

Work & Learn

Remain relevant and competitive in the workforce through upskilling in digital tech short-courses:

  • Funding up to RM4,000/pax for eligible courses

Digital Business Services (Employers)

The DBS program seeks to address unemployment by tapping into the fast-growing DBS sectors, inevitably positioning Malaysia as a competitive location for digital investments. The incentives include:

  • 40% of monthly salary for 6 months (minimum salary: RM2,000)
  • Up to RM5,000/pax training subsidy for In-house trainings
  • Incentives are reimbursed to the employer

Digital Tech Apprenticeship (Employers)

The DTA program offers a chance for the unemployed talents to upskill themselves and to be eligible for in-demand tech jobs in areas such as data science, software development and cybersecurity. The incentives include:

  • RM1,200/month salary for 6 months
  • Up to RM8,000/pax training subsidy for eligible courses

Perkeso was founded to provide social security protection to all Insured Persons and their dependants through social security schemes based on the concept of a caring society in line with the National Development Policy and Vision 2020

Employment Insurance System (EIS)

EIS provides vocational training with the aim of reskilling and upskilling the workforce. Insured Persons (IP) who are interested in attending training may consult Employment Service Officers (ESO) for advice. The training fee is paid directly to the training providers, while eligible training recipients may also receive a financial incentive.
Training Fee (TF)
  • Eligible JSA recipients may be referred to attend vocational skills training after consulting their ESO
  • Training costs of up to RM4,000 will be borne by EIS
Training Allowance (TA)
  • An incentive paid at a daily rate of RM10-20 depending on the recipient’s previous assumed salary
  • Training recipients must attend all mandated training sessions to be eligible

Penjana Kerjaya 3.0

Penjana Kerjaya 2.0 under the 2021 Budget is an enhanced version of the previous Hiring Incentive Programme with better rate of incentives to promo9te the creation of quality jobs and reduce unemployment among locals:

  • Employment for a minimum of 6 months
  • Training Course subsidization up to RM7,000
  • Monthly Salary of a minimum of RM1,500
  • One-off mobility assistance payment of RM500 to RM1,000

Apprenticeship Programme

The Apprenticeship Programme is a programme under the Ministry of Human Resources (through SOCSO) that provides a short-term, but full-time working experience for youths for a period of 3 months:

  • Employment for a minimum period of 3 months
  • Monthly Salary of a minimum of RM1,200
  • One-off mobility assistance payment of RM500 to RM1,000
